In fact I am sending my Mk1 1965 Cooper S back to the UK to be gently restored into a full-fledged Appendix K Historic racer.
Plan is to NOT paint it but polish it and see what is looks like. The car a little history, came with 1.5 twin SUs on a John Sturgess of Overseas Motors fame head which I still have but it cracked. Also it is all original, engine has never been touched all the numbers are there. Even the 1275 tag on the back. It has one ding in right rear quarter.
Plan is for Neil Slark and I to drive it as a team, but me sometimes when schedule permits. Others will be in the seat the rest of the time.
Ian Slark will restore and of course the Slarks will build the power.
